Born in Johannesburg, South Africa, and raised in Philadelphia, Gregory Alan Isakov moved to Colorado at the end of the last decade. He was named 2008's Best Acoustic/Folk Artist by the Denver Westword (Audience Award) and was named by the Denver Westword as the Best Singer/Songwriter 2007 (Critics Award). Isakov is also the 2007 winner of the Telluride Troubador Songwriting Competition.
IMT presents emerging artists, unplugged in a room that seats 50 with standing room for 90. Located in downtown Takoma Park, the (Handicap Accessible) studio is just 3 blocks from Metro's Red Line and convenient to several choice eateries, including Savory, Mark's Kitchen and Mid East Restaurant to augment the evening.
